• New Tanks

Tank_10__picThe BST Terminal at Mount Maunganui has added capacity in recent times as a result of demand. During 2013, a new 900 cubic metre tank was constructed to accommodate corrosive product for one of our long standing clients. This new tank is not only fully compliant with new seismic regulations, but also with HSNO (Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act.)

In addition to this, construction has commenced on a new 1200 cubic metre tank to accommodate vegetable oil after winning an important new contract.

“We are pleased to be able to underpin our strong growth by building capacity on the back of demand at the Port of Tauranga,” General Manager Doug Eng said.

Sky_TowerOn the 1st August we were one of 80 Corporate teams racing up the Sky Tower Stairs to raise money for Leukaemia Blood Cancer NZ. BST was able to raise $17,844, with the event raising a total of $249, 734! We placed 16th with a combined time of 53:30. This was an incredibly well run event for a fantastic cause, thanks again to our generous sponsors.

    New Plymouth Terminal

Meanwhile in New Plymouth, Terminal Manager Andre Kirk has been busy upgrading his facility by installing high level storage alarms to ensure a safer operation. Also during 2013 the storage bund (containment area) has been upgraded by installing a new wall and sealing the compound. Manager Andre Kirk said he is “delighted with the improvements to the site” and feels it has “really lifted the game for us.”
